Answers to Common Questions

Anyone who frequents the forums will start seeing a pattern in the posts. Every few days the exact same question is asked, (EDIT: multiple times a day!) just with a slightly different story, and the same people answer those questions with a comment very similar to the last time they answered the question.

Here are a few of the most common questions and their answers. These are mainly for sellers!

Why can't I withdraw my money?
There is a 14 day "clearance" time between when your gig was marked as "Complete" by the buyer and when you will receive the money in your Fiverr balance; this is to make sure there is satisfaction between the buyer and seller on the order. Sometimes it may take an extra day or two, so be patient. When it is cleared, you will need to make sure you have the Fiverr Revenue Card provided by Payoneer, or you must have an active PayPal account attached. You can apply for the Fiverr Revenue Card on the Fiverr page by clicking "Sales" then "Fiverr Revenue Card". To withdraw, go to "Sales">"Revenue" where you can then withdraw your money IF the above has been finished.
If you have any further issues, contact Customer Support.

How do I add gig extras?
Gig extras are available one you reach Level 1. As a new person (cow level) you are not able to add these extras. Now, if you are Level 1 and you want to add gig extras to your currently active gigs, click "Sales">"My Gigs" then click on the gig you want to add extras too; this will bring you to the editing page for that gig. Scroll down past the video upload section to find the gig extras area. You need to click the check box next to the line you type what you will do for an extra, and select how much extra time it will take and how much extra they will need to pay. So, with gig extras it will be $5 for the base + the $amount for the extra.

Why was my gig denied?
If your submitted gig was denied, take a moment to read the email carefully; they will give you a clear reason for why it is denied. They highly recommend you submit a new gig with the proper changes to go through the review process. Before doing anything, make yourself familiar with the Fiverr ToS so you are not violating any guidelines.
If you are having issues after having multiple gigs denied, contact Customer Support and be patient.

How do I get a gig featured OR how do I become a Top Seller?
Simply put, this is completely up to the Fiverr heads; there doesn't seem to be an easy way to submit your gig to them. After reaching Level 2 you have to just do your best in hopes to be noticed by them. Some information is available on the Levels page. Now, the biggest tip in how to get your gig featured is to offer something unique and of high quality; doing something very similar or the same as someone else won't get you far.

Why can I only offer X amount of gigs to requested gig buyers?
This is because Fiverr wants to avoid spammers and wants everyone to have a chance. A non-leveled seller can only offer 1 gig in the requested gigs section per 24 hours, while Level 1 and Level 2 are given gradually more. You must also be at least rated 95% positive.

Why did I only get paid $4 of a $5 gig?
Fiverr must be paid somehow. They receive 20% of every order you make, so $1 per $5.

How do I get more sales?
This is a question with a long but simple answer. I explained it here: http://forum.fiverr.com/discussion/13320/creating-promoting-your-gigs#Item_1

How do I get samples published in my live portfolio?
This was explained very well in this post: http://forum.fiverr.com/discussion/7316/the-ins-and-outs-of-publishing-samples-how-tos-for-buyers-and-sellers/p1

Why can't I put a cover image on my gig?
The cover image isn't available to all categories and subcategories, so you might not have the option because of that. From there, you need to follow all the Fiverr cover image guidelines.
• Cover photo is not a banner. Cover photos are meant to help you make your gig page look richer and more compelling.
• You must own the copyrights of the uploaded photo. Photo must be taken by you.
• Image quality must be high. Make sure lighting is optimal and that your image is razor sharp.
• Do not use the same image as any of your gig photos.
• No stock photography please.
• Photo subject must be related to your gig.
• Image must be full frame, side to side (no white or other flat color backgrounds please).
• Do not add text to your photo.
• Each cover photo can be used for one Gig only
• Images must be at least 260 x 1100 pixels, JPEG, and a maximum of 2MB.

How do I get a buyer to leave feedback?
This is all up to you. Some sellers feel okay with politely asking a buyer to leave feedback, while others just let it be and hope they get it. I personally ask in the message for delivering that they leave a thumb rating and a public review if everything looks/sounds good.

General Q&A Stuff

Can I change my username OR can I deactivate/close my account?
You cannot change your username. To deactivate/close your account you have to contact Customer Support.

Where is my inbox/collection/settings?
Hover your cursor over your name in the top right corner of the Fiverr page and a drop-down menu will appear with these options.

How do I cancel an order?
The very first thing you should do is communicate with the other person to come to an understanding of why you wish to cancel. You can request a mutual cancellation by clicking "Resolution Center" on the top of the order (above the order number) and click the appropriate option the robot gives you. It will give you a mutual cancellation option. If they are repeatedly not accepting the cancellation request, you can contact Customer Support (http://fiverr.com/support).

These are just the most common ones I see. Any I didn't cover?
