Now I've seen the woes of reputable sellers who's seller ratings have fallen victim to the savage and deplorable attitude of some unscrupulous buyers on this site.
Having recently fallen into this trap I know know what the shoe feels like on the other foot.
A buyer who I have previously worked on a project with returned for some modifications to be altered after having someone else modify the work I had initially supplied her with. Now creating a design from scratch is always easier than doing corrective work especially when it comes to book covers but I made the attempt anyway in good faith. She returns later to ask me if she has the rights to use my image provided without being subject to copyright infringement which I was happy to inform her that the images provided were purchased by me and provided for her eBook Cover.
She goes on an on and on and on asking me where I got the images from which I very nicely told her was not important and gave her the assurance that she was on the right track to use the images as desired.
Then LO AND &^%@* BEHOLD she hits me with 2 thumbs down saying she felt like I was upset through my response.
OMFG I was really the nicest I could have been and really couldn't even fathom why she would do that. This from a lady who I have gone out of my way to make her Fiverr experience a pleasant and memorable one has just cut my head completely off.
Now I'm generally not a violent guy but I'm sure I would have shot her if she was standing at my door.
Word to the wise...sometimes it really doesn't pay to go out of your way in assisting people in their orders but rather to do the job to the best quality when you can, assess whether the client is troublesome or not and believe me sometimes you can see their a$$es from a mile away and we need an option to refuse the job without having it going against our profile. I really hope the Fiverr Admins will seriously look into our concerns as sellers and implement some protective measures to safeguard our reputation.
