Every time I read a forum post from a seller about getting an unfair or uncalled for rating by a buyer, and that CS advised the seller to contact the buyer to get the rating changed, I wonder if Fiverr thinks all Buyers are reasonable.
Not ALL buyers are reasonable and will respond to a seller’s request. Does Fiverr think ALL buyers will fairly look at both sides and respond accordingly? Can't CS be the impartial judge and use their discretionary powers when it is called for instead of sticking to some rule that is unfair to the seller and doesn't solve the issue?
There are plenty of unreasonable buyers on Fiverr. I wish Fiverr CS would acknowledge that fact. Especially when a buyer makes unreasonable demands, gives the seller an unjust rating or any other circumstances where the seller goes out of their way to connect with the buyer but is ignored. As both a buyer and seller, I feel that the playing field on Fiverr is slanted favoring buyers over sellers. I know if a buyer complains to Fiverr about an unreasonable seller, CS will take action in a heart beat.
If a customer walks in to a store and steals, they are arrested and thrown out. When a buyer asks the seller to do more than what the gig calls for and if the seller doesn’t, the buyer has the power to hold the rating over the sellers head. When a buyer asks for more than the gig calls for, it is like stealing. Heck, even a mutual cancellation initiated by the buyer is held against the seller.
Fiverr, not ALL buyers are reasonable and the fact you ask sellers to bend over backwards for buyers who are here to scam the system and hold the rating over the sellers head unless they do as they ask, needs to stop. Come on, all we ask is that the rules for both Buyers and Sellers be equitable and fair. And that CS use some discretion and take action when it is obvious that the seller has been mistreated or ignored by the buyer. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
